Currently we have two Sunday Services. Our Sunday Morning Service is at 10 am, Sunday Night Live is at 7pm. If you are visiting within the Halifax area, or are seeking a church home, First Congregational Welcomes you with the Love of Christ. First Congregational is an evangelical church in Halifax devoted to the teaching and sharing of the gospel throughout Halifax. First Congregational Church is a member of the Congregational Christian Churches in Canada.
Sharing the gospel, either in Halifax, across Canada or around the world is what we are all about. You hear the word "gospel" so many times. Jesus loves you so much that he died for your sin, and mine, so that we may live with God for all eternity. No more suffering, No more dying. We will spend a wonderful time praising God and serving God.
Singer/Songwriter Keith Green once said that being a Christian means "being bananas for Jesus". This is what we are called to be. Jesus came once and for all to give his very life for the sin of all humankind. All you need to do is turn from your sin, ask Jesus into your heart and rest upon him for your salvation. It's that easy. You can't do it on your own, but simply rest upon Jesus for your salvation and he will reveal you as holy before God.
Christ took victory over Satan and all of his demons when he died and Subsequently rose from the Dead on the third day. 10am Service
Our morning service is at 10am. This service is complete with choir and praise team and is an awesome time to sing God's praises, unite in prayer and to grow in the word of God. We have a friendly fellowship where you will feel at home.
Sunday Night Live
If you're a young person, or young at heart, interested in learning about Jesus, or "if you know him a little and you want to know him more", then Sunday Night Live (SNL) is where you need to be on Sunday night @ 7.
