Opa Tavern is considered a lively Greek diner with lovely Greek instrumental music. Even the people passing by enjoy the sounds coming from this restaurant. Opa Taverna is located right in the center of the Halifax's hip eating and drinking district. The atmosphere here is just amazing, the sun comes in through skylights in the high ceilings and paints the terra-cotta walls. It also has dazzling paintings hanging from the walls. First timers may want to try the Pikilia Piato, a selection of three to five chilled appetizers or the Greek Piato, a variety of hot appetizers, plenty for two people. All together Opa Taverna is a very pleasent place to be.
