While our name is new, there is much that remains the same, including the close relationships we have with our clients and our determination to honour the finest traditions of legal practice so well-established by those who founded this firm.
Patterson Law grew out of the respected Truro firm, Patterson Smith Matthews & Grant, and the Halifax firm, Kitz Matheson. The province’s highest courts and public offices have, for generations, been populated by lawyers who practiced with those firms.
We like to think that the strong client base we have built in Nova Scotia is a direct result of the kind of law firm we have carefully and thoughtfully worked to maintain. It’s this approach that has made Patterson Law a firm that our colleagues are proud to work for and that attracts clients who respect our business philosophy.
While we are at heart a Nova Scotia law firm with deep roots in the community, our client list is broad. It includes corporations with global and national reach along with individuals and businesses whose interests are purely local. We pride ourselves on getting to know each and every client well, so that the legal advice and representation we provide is consistently in our client’s best interest. This tradition will continue.
