In 1859, New England Dissenters worshipped at St. Paul's Anglican Church untill they decided to build their own church. It was within the year 1859 that they decided to construct what is now known as St. Matthew's. As well as a regular sunday mass there is also a large award winning choir with a newly refurbished organ, one of the finest in the city.
