Bedford Institute of Oceanography is the largest ocean research centre in Canada. From lobsters to sea cucumbers this place has it all, and not only do you get to see this marine life up close but you can touch them as well. This is something the whole family can enjoy from kids to grandparents. The Bedford institute of Oceanography offers a 45 minute tour starting from 9am to 4pm every Monday through Friday. But make sure you make an appointment. Want to see what ocean sciences are all about, then hopefully one or more of the five huge research vessels will be anchored when you visit.
