University of King's College

The University of King's College was founded in 1789 by Anglican Loyalists who escaped to Nova Scotia during the American Revolution. Originally located in Windsor, Nova Scotia, the Anglican Loyalists had to move to Halifax due to a huge fire destroying their original campus.
