Web Site: www.buskers.ca
On August 6 the Halifax Waterfront will explode with the sights and sounds of live international entertainment as the Halifax International Busker Festival opens for its 23rd year. Over 500 performances will take place between August 6 - 16th as crowds will be treated to genuine "street theatre".
"Halifax has long been recognized as home to many an outstanding event, not least of which is the Halifax International Busker Festival" says John Cavill, Chair of the Atlantic Busker Festival Society. "Celebrating over two decades of family friendly performances, the spectacle that is the Busker Fest promises to yet again showcase a truly International potpourri of crowd pleasing entertainment".
The acts this year come from across the globe. They run the gamut from Bike Boy - an acrobatic bicycle comedy stunt man to FlameOz with their high energy fire shows; the hopping sensation Pogo Dudes, and the ever popular Phantastyk! to name a few.
The Halifax International Busker Festival is proudly presented by Hotel Association of Nova Scotia, WestJet, Pepsi, Z103, Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, Canadian Heritage, and Historic Properties.
