Halifax International Buskerfest

What is a busker anyway? Busking is the art of street performing
or street theatre. A style of performance like no other, it is
the musician playing in the open air, the tap dancer hoofing on
the sidewalk, or the artist who creates art on the sidewalk, knowing
it will be washed away with tomorrow morning’s rain.
This festival takes place on the streets of Halifax during the middle of August. Street performers from all over the
world come to Halifax for this fun and exciting ten-day event
along the waterfront, put on by the Atlantic Busker Festival Society.
Vendors, food, beer gardens, children's activities and a surplus
of lively performances are available at this large festival.
