As the premier multi-entertainment facility in Atlantic Canada, the Halifax Metro Centre has set the stage for a host of the world's finest entertainment events.

Halifax Metro Centre is the centerpiece in a rich assortment of entertainment options available in Halifax, the cultural centre of all Atlantic Canada. Halifax Metro Centre is designed and geared for versatility and can accommodate the biggest and most spectacular shows.

The benefits of the HMC facility
- A columnless arena with a 53-foot centre ceiling height.
- Maximum seating capacity of 10,000 people.
- Sophisticated and support services.
- A black theatrical curtain which gives us the flexibility to go from 1,000 to 10,000 patrons.

Our patrons
The more than 400,000 residents of the Halifax Regional Municipality and the hundreds of thousands who have come to Halifax Metro Centre events from around the region are in tune with the latest trends yet loyal to many great long-time favourites. We're at the centre of a regional touring operation with well over 50,000 seats, all available within a short distance of Halifax.

Halifax Metro Centre events
Halifax Metro Centre regularly and successfully features shows as popular as Garth Brooks and Wayne Newton and as sophisticated as the touring production of the Broadway musical CATS. Our ability to professionally handle large events, even the most complex productions, is demonstrated by years of hosting Nova Scotia's own renowned Nova Scotia International Tattoo with over 2,000 performers and intricate logistics. Our expertise extends to major sporting events too. Our roster includes professional basketball and hockey.

In 2004 alone, we will host a variety of national and international events: the 2004 IIHF World Women's Hockey Championship, the CIS Final 10 Men's Basketball Championship, and the 2004 FIBA Under 21 Tournament of the Americas, to name a few.

Our team
Our home team includes a full line-up of professionals and technology.  We can handle every important service including promotion, advertising and group sales, computerized ticketing management and complete box office services.

Halifax Metro Centre is more than just a great facility
As part of the integrated World Trade and Convention centre complex, the Halifax Metro Centre can play a valuable part in any type of major convention, meeting or exposition.
