Dedicated to preservation of the aviation heritage of the Atlantic
Canada, this museum represents civilian and military aviation
in Canada and the world. They have an impressive collection of
aviation artifacts, simulators, weaponry and aircraft, including
a CF-104 Starfighter.
The newest exhibit is a restored Avenger; the only fully restored
Fire Fighting Avenger in the country. A group of volunteers have
worked for the past many years to restore this grand airplane
to its original beauty. While at the museum, make sure you browse
through the medals, uniforms and other important memorabilia.
The Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum is at the Halifax International
Airport, 1658 Bedford Highway.
