When built in 1990, the Discovery Centre was labeled Nova Scotia’s
hands-on science center. Kids and adults alike will say that “science
is cool” at the Discovery Centre, which is dedicated to
promoting an interest in science through exciting experiences.
Everyone will love the numerous exhibits – 3 floors of
fun! - Which includes:
-
A bubble room
-
A mirror room
-
A floating ball display
-
And much more.
Designed with little ones in mind, the toddler area is where
active play takes on a new life with climbing onto and driving
a colorful truck, stacking blocks, playing with magnets and floating
ping-pong balls. Discovery Centre has fun and exciting public
programs and events happening throughout the year; check out their
calendar to see what’s happening when you’re visiting.
The Discovery Centre is located at the corner of Barrington and
Sackville Streets, and open seven days a week.
